Amelia Earhart Laurie Anderson

In the February 24 issue of The New York Review of Books, there is a subscription advertisement featuring The David Levine drawing of Amelia Earhart. I searched the David Levine archive, but apparently that particular drawing isn't available. So you might have to take it on my word that the drawing bears a striking resemblance to Laurie Anderson. In fact, if he switched the raincoat for a black coat and put a violin beneath the chin, he could run the same picture as Laurie Anderson. The similarity is striking in a couple of places, the most prominent of which are the high cheekbones. The second is the shape of the mouth complemented by the eyes.

Amelia Earhart and Laurie Anderson share an interest in airplanes. American planes, made in America.
